Materials
Silicone is a raw material with great flexibility and excellent resistance to heat and cold, durability in outdoor and sun conditions, and water resistance. It also has a high friction coefficient, is used as an electrical insulator and does not easily stick to other materials, so it is suitable for molds such as baking molds. It comes in a variety of thicknesses and a variety of colors.
Laser cutting of Silicone
Cutting silicone with laser results in high quality and accurate cut, with a bit of soot that can be easily washed. You can get great detail and proximity between cutting lines of about 1 mm. We can cut up to 6 mm thickness. Higher thickness requires testing of the relevant material.
Applications - Makeup stencils, stencils for painting, stencils for adhesion, stencils for sealing glue, gaskets, molded bottoms and more.
Laser Engraving of Silicone
The silicon is a very homogenous material and as such can yield great results when laser engraved. With the right design and setup we can control the depth of engraving and create custom made pruducts that combines laser cutting and laser engraving. The material should be rinsed after processing to remove residues obtained as a result of processing. The final product is flexible and has a long life span.
Applications - gaskets, rings, molds for casting, baking mokds etc.
